Blow the candle!

Today we did a very random activity which AR really enjoyed and H tried it as well. We blew candles!!! It was a great practice for H to learn how to blow, she tried to imitate us SO hard.

The kids had a great time blowing them out, since they were scented candles we worked our smelling senses. We had to guess what  fruit or flower the candle smelled like. I loved the excitement AR had on his face every time he blew the candle and watched the smoke swirl in the air. He was so worried about his little sister, who kept trying to touch the candle, he would spontaneously respond and hold her hand back mashaAllah!

  4. Well, i officially started about 7 to 8 months ago. But I have been informally hsing my son since he was a baby!

The "name" for our homeschool. Well, I didnt really think of it to tell you the truth, We used to call our HS room Rawdah, so when I was starting the blog I though why not call it "Rawdah tul Jannah". As much as its sounded good, it also sounded kinda not right to call another place in this duniya RTJ. So, I asked around from students of knowledge here and they said it wouldn't be haram but they would say not to name it that.

I still wanted something with rawdah in it since the kids and we love the name. So we thought of Rawdah tul ilm. Garden of Knowledge! My husband helped me in this too so he has some credit in it (I hate taking credit for things I didn't do or learned from someone else).

The knowledge-ilm is referring to ALL kinds of knowledge, not just hsing. I am working on the name, I will be changing it from RTI homeschooling TO RTI homeschooling and beyond.

I hope that helped sister. why do you ask, if I may know please. because no one has asked me this before. (i don't mind it at all)

I love the name RTI homeschooling. It just has such a strong feel Mashaa'Allaah. Since your son was a baby? What did you teach?

I love asking questions to other homeschooling Ummi's.

I named our homeschool Darul-Hadeeth Homeschool. I really like that it separates the children from everyday life-meaning they only go in there at school time and it keeps it exciting Mashaa'Allaah.

Well enjoying your blog! Keep up the good work
